Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Site based, Manchester (M3)

Key Roles and Responsibilities
The contract administration and quantity surveying/commercial requirements (internal and external) upon all allocated projects.
Ensure certification and cash collection upon allocated projects is in line with agreed terms.
Ensure all required site records are maintained.
All Quantity Surveying duties including measurement and valuation.
Preparation of interim applications for payment and internal valuations.
Proper interim administration and settlement of subcontractors’ accounts.
Assisting in preparation of claim documents, as necessary.
Provide junior staff with guidance on their job responsibilities.
Negotiate with client’s representatives and other consultants.
Advise project management on contractual implications of intended courses of action.
Advise and provide analysis on commercial risks within the project or projects.
Preparation of monthly contract review reports, where necessary.
Preparation of monthly management accounts information providing accurate analysis and forecasts.
Keep your manager fully advised of any issue/risk which has arisen or might arise, and which could affect the business/project.
Make satisfactory progress towards education qualifications.
Progress through standard training programme where directed.
Contribute to business improvement initiatives.
In conjunction with site manager provide subcontractors with enough Health and Safety information to specific project
Request statutory documentation.
Take an active role in ensuring Health and Safety is effectively managed on site.
Cooperates with other departments and subcontractors in Health and Safety matters.
Report all hazards and unsafe practices they observe to the site manager.
Any other reasonable requests commensurate with role and position in the business.
Contributes to the team.
Gains colleagues and customers respect for his/her views.
