Job Title: Façade Manager - Manchester

To provide construction management for the façade/envelope work packages allocated to you on the project. Support the Project Manager in achieving the project objectives.

To support the Project Manager and Senior Façade Manager in the successful delivery of the project in a safe manner, to a high standard of quality, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Contribute to the achievement of the Health and Safety objectives set within the Renaker Build Ltd Health and Safety Policy.

  • Promote strong H&S guidance

  • Promote near miss and positive intervention reporting.

  • Deliver the appointed packages to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters

  • Ensure that site safety requirements and regulations are implemented, monitored and achieved in accordance with current legislation.

  • Assist the Senior Façade Manager to provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the agreed programme.

  • Assist the Senior Façade Manager to plan and manage the programming of day to day resource requirements.

  • Interface with other section managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation.

  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change.

  • Participate in weekly meetings with the subcontract management to review and report progress, productivity, labour resources, design, procurement and plan the next stage/area of works.

  • Assist the Senior Façade Manager with reviewing project status ensuring all options have been considered and evaluated to improve performance.

  • Participate in design workshops to ensure buildability of subcontract proposals whilst maintaining the aesthetic and performance requirements.

  • Ensure effective implementation of Renaker project management systems and procedures.

  • Ensure subcontract method statements, risk assessments and COSHH assessments are vetted in a timely manner to allow the works to commence on programme in a safe and controlled manner. 

  • Ensure a detailed site diary is kept up-to-date, keeping record of labour resource, areas of installation, weather conditions and plant/access equipment onsite.      

  • Ensure the subcontract façade teams are aware of the project specification requirements and establish compliance.

  • Assist the Senior Façade Manager to ensure the design is compliant with the architectural intent, performance requirements and manage the flow of information within the design team.

  • Maintain a full set of up-to-date subcontract design drawings accompanied by the relevant calculations and/or certification for compliance on site.

  • Assist the Senior Façade Manager to implement design team and subcontractor drawings & details, including logging & distribution on site. Interpret drawings and specifications, including build ability and developing risk register.

  • Ensure the subcontractor maintains a clean and tidy area of work, including access equipment, signage and storage.

  • Maintain records of all site package correspondence and maintain accurate records.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate Quality Control procedures and documentation.

  • Complete and issue a Non Conformance Report when necessary to ensure defects are identified and implement the corrective action required.

  • Operate safe systems of work at all times, assess and reduce risk of injury, carry out first aid and understand our legal obligations.

Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software packages.

  • Good understanding of the performance and detailing principles required for Façade/Envelope systems such as curtain walling, rainscreen, doors, windows and roofing systems.

  • Good understanding of the CWCT Standards for Systemised Building Envelopes and CWCT technical literature.

  • Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.

  • People management skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Thorough understanding of project flow and demand fulfilment.
